Mario' s passion for the hospitality industry delivering services started many years ago, given the fact that his older brother Giuseppe also attended culinary/hospitality school in Como, Italy Mario followed his footsteps and as young as 12 he was delivering caffe, cappuccino croissant to offices in the town of Salerno, left Laurino very early to join his sister in Salerno where once he found his passion in serving people he attended hospitality/culinary school 5 years programm where he graduated in 1980, during his summer breaks he worked in beautiful resorts and hotels on the lake Garda district, Merano, ski station like Corvara, Cortina, Gstadd, Palace hotel, and most e foremost he spent 8 years in Venice and the Veneto region also worked on board of The premier Cruise line Royal Viking line, this incredible journey opened a world of learning and life time experience in the hospitality industry.

One night on the 14th of July in Venice in 1990 he met his beatiful wife Rachel in San Marco square at The Grand Caffe Quadri one of the most elegant and posh cafe in the square ,moved to the Usa opened and run the il Palio ristorante in Miami , married Rachel moved to Pittsburgh worked at the Colony and opened il Valletto then the family moved to Cleveland where they reside ever since in Rocky River.

The tour idea started about 6 years ago along with regional cooking classes that he offers on Sundays at Aroma , he wanted to give travellers a unique experience and show them unique places and sites in Campania his region, off of the beaten path vacation with unique sites, excursions, cooking classes with local chefs and products, unique boutique wineries and cellars, a true and special 9 days with Mario in Campania will give you a lifetime memories of Traveller not a tourist!
