Mario’s Tour of Southern Italy - 2023

Our Italian Adventure with Mario, originally delayed by COVID, was fabulous and well worth the wait!
Mario Included experiences we never would've enjoyed in the more "cookie-cutter" tours available. We visited towns off the beaten-path, and so we felt immersed in the local culture. There was an exquisite cooking class in Felitto where we made fusilli and a veritable feast; a hike in Laurino amongst free-range cows and tours of churches and convents not typically accessible.
We dined with his family, met the locals and still had plenty time for the "must-do's" like the boat-ride/blue grotto in Centola, and seeing Amalfi, Ravello and Pompei. At each turn, Mario seemed to kwow people who helped make our experience unique.
And the FOOD... it was incredible, different and bountiful at each stop. We reveled in the lovely accommodations at the Hotel Mec, and the simpler rooms in the country (complete with wild-life) and by the sea offered unparalleled visitas.

Lastly, Mario offered suggestion for our free time and was very attentive to our need (and the occasional shift in plans). For my husband and I, and group of 8, it was the trip of a lifetime.
